Science

As Claude Lévi-Strauss said,

”The scientist is not a person who gives the right answers;
he’s one who asks the right questions.”

The Logan Park Science Department equips students with the skills to be informed and ask the right questions in a society that is increasingly dependent on scientific information and technological change. Our learning programmes also enable the scientists of tomorrow to gain the knowledge to build their future insights on.

General Science is taught at Years 9, 10 and 11, whereas at Years 12 and 13 the subject is split into three specialist areas: Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Our Science students excel at a national level, regularly attaining scholarships in all three Year 13 Science subjects. Most students, at all levels, will be provided with a Science workbook. These workbooks are essential in supporting the teaching and learning of Science. Indicative costs are outlined in each of the Course Outlines, in the Course Prerequisites box.
