Kia ora koutou
Logan Park High School is a school unlike any other.
There is no secret to our success. Learning is our focus and rather than running an education production line, we inspire individuals.
We are in the business of growing good young people. Our talented staff are able to ensure that all students discover the necessary knowledge and skills to place them confidently on the road to becoming successful life-long learners. Our teaching methods are based on evidence and research and our impressive results speak for themselves.
Logan Park High School has a well-deserved reputation for being the premier hub of creativity in the Dunedin secondary education sphere. It is certainly true that a disproportionate number of the city’s high achievers in every field whether academic, creative, sport, music, leadership or service have been fostered and nurtured by the dynamic, supportive and ‘blue sky’ thinking our school embodies and encourages.
Our students continue to excel in NCEA qualifications. In New Zealand’s premier academic exams, Scholarship, our students continue a 25 year tradition of excellent academic performance at the highest level. Each year, Logan Park graduates collectively win hundreds of thousands of dollars in university scholarships.
Our ex-students have distinguished themselves in almost every area imaginable: medicine, law, film, theatre, music, gaming, programming, construction, sports, academia, trades, teaching, marketing to name a few.
Whether you are into Art, Chemistry, Maths, Languages, Building, Film-making, Technology, Music, Drama, Sports or the Environment we’ll help you design a course that challenges and excites you. Whether you struggle with reading and maths or are already a high flier we will help you take your next steps.
Our staff and students work hard, knowing the value of high expectations, discipline and positive learning relationships.
Every year we welcome new students at every level to join us.
We know that all students need to feel happy, safe and to belong in order to flourish. We work hard to make our school a caring, kind and inclusive community where everyone can find their place, make good friends and discover their potential.
We look forward to welcoming you to our kura.
