Junior Sports Have A Go Week.

What a fantastic fun week over 100 Logan Park students had participating in the Junior Sports Have A Go Week in November.

Schools from around Otago participated. The focus was not on competition but new sporting experiences and fun.

Monday a group of boys played dodgeball at the Metro and a large group attended Dragon Boating. The Dragon Boating was fantastic. Check out the photos of schools combining to race against each other.

Tuesday was back to Dodgeball for a girls and co-ed team. A busy day of throwing balls at others.

3×3 Basketball was very popular with 30 students involved. Some students had a go at playing Basketball in wheelchairs, quite the challenge.

E Sports was also an option on Tuesday and students described the event as fun.

Wednesday Rippa Rugby was popular with four teams attending, two boys and two girls teams. It was a beautiful day. A busy day for the players. All played in the spirit of trying a new sport. Some fantastic run away tries were scored.

Another popular sport on Wednesday was Foosball with nearly 20 students attending. The event was well run with everyone kept active.

A small group attended Disc Golf enjoying the beautiful setting at Chingford park.

Thursday was another busy day with good numbers playing Ki O Rahi and Renegade hockey.

Darts was also on offer and enjoyed by a small group.

Friday was our teacher’s only day, a small group attended 8 Ball Pool.

As you can see a real variety was on offer. Big thanks to the students for being wonderful ambassadors for Logan Park. Thank you to our wonderful staff who make this event possible.
