Year 13 Physical Education Snow cave & cross country ski trip

The X-Country Ski and Snow Cave experience took place at the Waiorau Snow Farm, Cardrona Valley.

Three days and two nights spent living in an alpine environment at about 1600m.

Students x-country skied to the Musterers Hut, where they settled in to prepare their first dinner.  Students headed out for a night ski after dinner. 

The next day, students managed to dig 8 caves.

Students investigated safety management and discussed the importance of risk holistically as a way to develop people while maintaining safety.
