Year 11 Drama Research Visit to Southcare Rest Home & Hospital

On Wednesday, August 7th, the Year 11 Drama class visited the Southcare Rest Home & Hospital for kōrero with the residents about their life stories.

Our ākonga spent time with 18 different residents throughout the morning to hear the interesting stories about their childhood and adult lives.  Year 11 Drama students will take these stories as inspiration for their final internal assessment this year to devise (create Drama through improvisation and experimentation) pieces inspired by these stories. Over the next few weeks they will work together and create these pieces to polish them by the end of the term, so they can perform them to the residents in a special performance at the beginning of Term 4!
