On Friday 24th May, a small group of performers from Life Education Trust came to school and performed Theatre in Education.
They did three performances over the day in the gym to groups of students from various year levels. These performances were all around Health Education topics, specifically SMART$ (covering financial literacy), SMASHED (covering risks associated with alcohol and strategies for dealing with peer pressure), and BEHIND THE SCENES (covering issues related to vaping and social media influences).
All the performances were very interactive, allowing students to discuss ideas and share their thoughts about the health issues. These performances supported curriculum content currently being covered in Health Education (at various levels), as well as Future Pathways and gateway.
Thank you to the Life Education trust for coming along to perform to our students, and thank you to the students for contributing to the workshops. We look forward to hosting them again in the future.
