Kia ora, my name is Isaac Simons and I am excited to be one of Logan Park High School’s 2025 Head Prefects. I’ve enjoyed my four year Logan Park journey so far and now I have the privilege of becoming a leader of the school in my last year. I am looking forward to helping to implement our school’s goal of making every student’s schooling journey enjoyable and valuable.
To introduce myself, I was born in the United States but have spent most of my life between the Philippines and New Zealand. I loved this experience, and living in these countries has helped me learn to adapt and accept new challenges. Now, I work two part-time jobs, tutoring, and as a kitchen hand. I fill my time outside of school and work by playing football, going to the gym, and seeing friends.
One of the values that I really prioritise in my life is balance. I find that keeping a balance between school, sports, work, and my social and home life helps me not burn out or feel overworked. My personal goals are to continue finding this balance, develop my leadership skills and find out what I am passionate about to help me figure out my years after high school. My goals for this school year are to have an enjoyable final school year, and complete my high school academics strongly. I plan to go to university after high school, either in New Zealand or the United States and continue to pursue football and leadership opportunities wherever I go.
