We’re excited to share some fantastic news about our netball team! Over the first week of the school holidays, Logan Park High School made its debut at the South Island Secondary Schools (SISS) Junior Netball Tournament.
This was the first time in the tournament’s history that we’ve sent a team, and what an experience it was!
From the moment we arrived, you could feel the buzz among our players. There was a mix of excitement and nerves, as we were stepping into uncharted territory. Our team, notably the only one at the tournament not representing in their region’s “Premier Grades,” was ready to give it their all and make Logan Park proud. Despite facing some top-tier teams, our players did an amazing job showcasing what Logan Park is all about. They played with respect, stayed motivated, and made sure to include everyone, both on and off the court. These core values truly shone through in every match, making us incredibly proud.
One of the most rewarding parts of the tournament was the recognition our team received from other coaches. After every game, coaches from the opposing teams came over to celebrate our Junior Tui’s effort and tenacity. They were impressed by how composed and focused our team was from the first whistle to the last. Such consistent praise was a huge boost for our team and a testament to their hard work and sportsmanship.
This tournament was just the beginning. Our players have come back with more confidence and a wealth of experience. We’re excited to build on this foundation and keep pushing forward. A big thank you to our coaches, supporters, and the entire Logan Park community for all your support. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Logan Park Netball!
….’Where are youuuu?’
