Thursday; a sunny Dunedin day, our Logan Park cricketers rolled up their sleeves and got to work with sponges, buckets, and plenty of enthusiasm for a car wash fundraiser in term Three.
Their mission: to raise money for the team’s new baggy caps—a prestigious piece of cricket uniform that symbolises pride, tradition, and team spirit.
The crew set up in the carpark and were kept busy all day, with a steady stream of staff bringing their cars through for a wash and polish. Laughter, teamwork, and plenty of suds were on display as the players worked hard and supported one another.
Thanks to the generosity of our staff community, the team raised over $500, taking them a big step closer to securing their caps.
A huge congratulations to the cricket squad for their mahi and to everyone who supported them on the day. Ka pai team—you’ve earned both the funds and the pride that comes with wearing Logan Park’s baggy cap!
