Media Studies students enjoyed hands-on learning with film equipment, and learning valuable editing skills for their film projects.
Learning how to write scripts, use film equipment and figure out the ins and outs of editing can be a big ask, but it’s also a lot of fun.
At the end of Term One the Year 12 and 13 students got to take out cameras, drones, stabilizers and tripods to capture some ‘test’ footage. They then had the chance to have a play in Adobe Premiere Pro (film editing software) and create some entertaining and at times cringe-worthy test films.
We also had a go at making wounds and bruises with makeup and latex.
These new skills served them well for their film projects that were shown at a film night later in the year.
