Media Studies Film Night

On Friday 17 October we hosted our annual Media Studies film night featuring films made by our students throughout the year.

This year’s Film Night was nothing short of spectacular, with over 30 films showcased—a record number! Out of the 43 films produced in total, we were treated to an incredible variety of genres that truly had something for everyone.

From spine-chilling zombie horrors to quirky nature mockumentaries, scary music videos, sporting documentaries, and imaginative animations, this year’s lineup covered a wide range of creative expression. The films were engaging, entertaining, and in some cases, downright scary—giving us a perfect blend of thrills and light-hearted moments.

A huge congratulations to all the students who took part! Each and every one of you should be incredibly proud of the work you put in to bring your visions to life. Whether it was the acting, directing, editing, or overall storytelling, it was clear that a lot of passion went into each project.

We also want to extend a special thank you to the Media Studies prefects. Your dedication and hard work behind the scenes helped make the event run smoothly, and we appreciate the hours you spent ensuring everything went off without a hitch.

Film Night was a true celebration of student creativity, and we can’t wait to see what next year will bring!
