Year 13 Xander Gosling continues to grow as a referee.

Xander was selected to referee at the Foot Locker U16 Basketball Nationals in Wellington over the July school holidays. It was an awesome experience — for Xander to meet a lot of new people and we are proud to have one of our students be the only referee selected from Otago.

The trip also helped Xander earn his Level 1 Referee qualification and gave him some great exposure at a national level. All of this is part of Xander’s long-term goal to pursue refereeing as a potential career, and ties into his plans of studying Sport Development and Management at University.
