Logan Park High School students have once again made their mark at the annual Otago Polytechnic Design School’s Celebrate Design Show, held in Term Four in Dunedin.
This prestigious showcase of secondary student innovation across the region highlighted the creativity, technical skill, and forward-thinking approach of young designers—and four Logan Park students stood out with remarkable achievements across both fashion and product design categories.
Carolena Booth was awarded a Highly Commended in the Fashion Design section for her beautifully crafted corseted top and intricately appliquéd singlet. Her work demonstrated both attention to detail and creative flair, impressing the judging panel with her craftsmanship.
Kasper Knox also earned a Highly Commended, this time in the Product Design category, for his inventive “Tinker Top”—a portable workstation designed to be both functional and adaptable for makers on the go.
Conor Hobbs took out the top prize in Product Design for his project “Bush Charge”, a clever, portable solution for charging batteries while hiking or hunting. His project stood out for its relevance, practicality, and innovation.
In addition, Sadie Reid wowed the Fashion Design tutors and was awarded a scholarship to study Fashion at Otago Polytechnic in 2026. Her talent and potential left a lasting impression, and her teacher, Ms. McKay, shared that she is incredibly proud of Sadie’s achievement.
Logan Park is proud to acknowledge the outstanding success of these Technology students.
Their achievements are a reflection of the talent, perseverance, and innovative spirit nurtured within our school community. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!
