We’re excited to announce that Logan Park High School now has its very own waka ama crew!
This marks the beginning of a new adventure for our students as they train towards future competitions and develop skills both on and off the water.
The crew had their first launch last week, braving the chilly conditions with enthusiasm and team spirit. After their initial training session, students enjoyed a refreshing dip in the harbour—laughter, encouragement, and connection flowed freely.
Waka ama is more than just a sport—it’s a powerful way to build whanaungatanga and strengthen a sense of belonging. We’re proud of this new kaupapa and can’t wait to see where this journey takes our students.
Ka mau te wehi, waka ama whānau!
