Curlers – Logan Park Curlers Enjoy the South Island Champs

Our curling team have now concluded a great season on the ice after their weekend of representing Logan park at the South Island Secondary Schools Tournament.

This tournament saw them battle it out with several local teams, as well as some hearty representatives from Central Otago.

The 3 experienced curlers: Elsie Hyink, William Stanley & Sam Smith, were joined by Arlo Synnott-Chapman who impressively learned to slide in only a few weeks and managed to place some very successful stones throughout the weekend.

This has been a great experience for the team who still have plenty of school days ahead of them; hopefully next year they will feel confident enough to enter the Nationals, which would see them compete in Naesby.
