Inspiring Growth: Graduate Women Otago Visit Logan Park

Our Year 12 and 13 young women were fortunate to spend time with Otila and Phoebe-Rose from Graduate Women Otago, who came to share their insights and encouragement around setting goals and reaching for success—however that may look for each individual.

Otila and Phoebe-Rose spoke powerfully about the many different ways success can be defined and the importance of finding your own path. Their message was clear: it’s not about fitting into a mould, but about identifying what matters to you and being brave enough to pursue it.

They highlighted the value of relationships and connections with others—whether through mentorship, friendship, or professional networks—as key to personal and academic growth. The speakers encouraged students to back themselves, to take up opportunities, and to step outside their comfort zones. It’s often those moments of challenge, they reminded us, that spark the greatest adventures and learning.

Their visit was a warm, empowering reminder that success doesn’t always follow a straight line—and that with courage, curiosity, and community, our young people can achieve incredible things.

Kā mihi nui to Graduate Women Otago for their time, energy, and inspiration.
