Ice Sports Review: A Season of Success on the Rink

The 2025 Ice Sports season was a memorable one for Logan Park High School, marked by strong representation, impressive victories, and promising development across both curling and ice hockey.

Curling: Building on Experience

Logan Park was proudly represented by one competitive curling team and one development team who had a great season.

Before the competition officially began, the teams benefited from an early coaching session focused on sharpening skills and strategy. The experience gained in previous years was a significant asset, with five curlers from the previous season returning to the ice. This consistency and commitment translated into some fierce and strategic competition throughout the season.

The program continues to grow, ensuring Logan Park remains a force to be reckoned with on the curling sheets.

Ice Hockey: Combined Team Dominates

This season, six of our talented Logan Park players joined forces with athletes from Otago Girls’ High School to form a successful combined team.

The team quickly found its rhythm on the ice, demonstrating excellent teamwork and skill. Their performance was highlighted by a run of impressive form, including winning their last two games in style.

Two players stood out with particularly strong seasons:

  • Wyatt Meade was on fire up front, consistently proving to be the team’s standout goal-scorer, driving the offensive effort with his speed and accuracy.

  • Eli Ravenwood anchored the defense, impressing everyone in goal by keeping opponents at bay with a series of incredible saves. Eli’s performance was pivotal in securing their crucial wins.

We congratulate all our ice athletes on a superb season and look forward to their continued success in the coming years.
