We have had another busy year in Writers' Group. Held every Monday lunchtime and open to all who wish to come, Writers' Group can often get very loud! We enter competitions, share our writing, try out writing games and activities and manage to eat our lunch as well.

The Pacific is the calm ocean washing on the smooth sand of the land. Pearls are the jewels of the ocean. We are the Pacific Island Pearls of Logan Park High School (Polynesian Performance Group) who have just recently started up again since 2004.

The After School Homework Club has been an amazing experience this year. The teachers that are involved in the club are wonderful. They all bring something different. Mr Pirie for Science and Maths, Ms Brinsley for English, Drama and Careers, and Matua Tip for Te Reo Maori.

Kia Ora!The Maori Student Leadership Team (MSLT) of 2013 has been a real success. As a well-oiled machine we worked under the guidance of our wonderful Careers Advisor Ms Brinsley to start new projects, as well as continuing existing programmes from 2012.

At year 10 camp our class happened to go to Tautuku in one of the very few times it snows! I found myself wearing ALL my clothes I had brought and still being freezing, but that just made it all the more fun.

Twenty one students and five teachers ventured out to Vietnam for our second full tour of this wonderful country for seventeen days in the April holidays. It was a fantastic and successful tour which will live long in everyones memories.

Well it has been another great year for Aoraki. We may not have carried away any of the cups or trophies but House spirit was always high. Our Year 13s worked superbly as a team and organised all the activities required of them enthusiastically throughout.
