Book Tasting and Book Dating

At the end of Term One the Year 9's have all embarked on our 'Book Tasting Experience'. They had the opportunity to 'sample' a number of books in a restaurant-style setting.

Pipe Band Success

Over the weekend of the 19/20th of March five bagpipers from the John McGlashan College Pipe Band (of which several LPHS students are members) competed at the RNZPBA National Pipe Band Championships. Everyone had an awesome time, and all played extremely well.

Paxton Hall and Alexander Sun were selected to attend the NZ International Biology Oympiad training and selection camp in the April holidays.

Thanks to all the teams that entered for Tennis in Term 1 the standard is getting better all the time and I am sure we will have some more teams entering the competitive grade in Term 4.

Vive la nourriture francaise!

La troisime (Year 10 French) went to the cooking room in Term One and prepared some beautiful dishes, ranging from pain au chocolat and crpes to une tarte au pesto et tomates the recipes came from our French pen pal class and we tried them out! Ctait dlicieux!

Talchum () could be characterized as a Korean dance performed while wearing a mask, mimicry, miming, speaking, and even sometimes singing.
