Mana Pounamu Awards is a secondary school Maori scholarship prize-giving.
It is to acknowledge academic, sporting, cultural and school service achievements and also give credit to these accomplishments. This annual event is offered from Years 9 through to 13, with scholarships worth up to $10,000 for further tertiary education.
This year's recipients from Logan Park are myself and Reva Grills. This celebration is to "acknowledge success, encourage tertiary study and provide positive role models to young Maori."
