Students were concerned about a number of global issues and decided to fundraise through selling cupcakes as well as holding a mufti-day.
The Rise Foundation helps refugees and citizens in need in Kurdistan. As well as supplying emergency relief, volunteers help plant well-needed trees and gardens, along with providing recreation activities to inspire local children.
The cupcake day on September 8 was a huge success, selling out in the first 15 minutes of lunchtime.
The money made in the recent mufti day will also be donated to the foundation as well as to supporting Syrian refugees.
