Our Outdoor Ed and Cultural Studies class enjoyed making a hangi in April.
Matua Tip Winiata taught them how to prepare the meats and vegetables and how to cook the food slowly in a traditional Maori way. Over 40 students and guests enjoyed the tasty meal. Vegetarians were also catered for, and our 4 Thai students who are visiting for a month enjoyed their first hangi.
