At the end of Term 2 we farewelled a number of international leavers before our new arrivals came in Term 3.

In‌ ‌June‌ ‌last‌ ‌term‌ ‌we‌ ‌farewelled‌ ‌Amelie‌ ‌Buettner‌ ‌and‌ ‌then‌ ‌in‌ ‌July‌ ‌we‌ ‌said‌ ‌goodbye‌ ‌to‌ ‌

Lotte‌ ‌Berkhan,‌ ‌Sophia‌ ‌Gruber,‌ ‌Thala‌ ‌Scheffer‌ ‌and‌ ‌Tom‌ ‌Wurthmann‌ ‌who‌ ‌were‌ ‌all‌ ‌with‌ ‌

us‌ ‌for‌ ‌a‌ ‌year,‌ ‌plus‌ ‌Anna‌ ‌Scheunemann‌ ‌and‌ ‌Noah‌ ‌Southwell‌ ‌from‌ ‌New‌ ‌Caledonia‌ ‌who‌ ‌

were‌ ‌both‌ ‌here‌ ‌for‌ ‌half‌ ‌a‌ ‌year.‌ ‌ We‌ ‌were‌ ‌all‌ ‌very‌ ‌sad‌ ‌to‌ ‌see‌ ‌them‌ ‌go‌ ‌but‌ ‌I‌ ‌know‌ ‌they‌ ‌

were‌ ‌excited‌ ‌about‌ ‌seeing‌ ‌their‌ ‌family‌ ‌and‌ ‌friends‌ ‌again‌ ‌back‌ ‌home.‌ ‌

Welcome‌ ‌to‌ ‌New‌ ‌Students‌ ‌-‌ ‌Term‌ ‌3‌ ‌

The‌ ‌first‌ ‌day‌ ‌of‌ ‌term‌ ‌3‌ ‌we‌ ‌welcomed‌ ‌ ‌new‌ ‌students‌ ‌-‌ ‌Frederik‌ ‌Mock,‌ ‌Jakob‌ ‌

Bayreuther,‌ ‌Laura‌ ‌Busch,‌ ‌Lukas‌ ‌Hein,‌ ‌Moritz‌ ‌and‌ ‌Hannah‌ ‌Ruffer,‌ ‌Norick‌ ‌Leverenz,‌ ‌Piet‌ ‌

Katzenstein,‌ ‌Thies‌ ‌Henning‌ ‌and‌ ‌Veronika‌ ‌who‌ ‌are‌ ‌all‌ ‌from‌ ‌Germany,‌ ‌ plus‌ ‌Sam‌ ‌So‌ ‌from‌ ‌

Hong‌ ‌Kong‌ ‌and‌ ‌Ellie‌ ‌Ryser‌ ‌and‌ ‌Lukas‌ ‌Koenig‌ ‌both‌ ‌from‌ ‌Switzerland.‌ ‌ ‌

They‌ ‌spent‌ ‌Monday‌ ‌morning‌ ‌going‌ ‌through‌ ‌the‌ ‌student‌ ‌guide,‌ ‌getting‌ ‌their‌ ‌timetables‌ ‌

and‌ ‌touring‌ ‌the‌ ‌school‌ ‌with‌ ‌their‌ ‌buddies.‌ ‌After‌ ‌lunch‌ ‌they‌ ‌went‌ ‌on‌ ‌a‌ ‌tour‌ ‌of‌ ‌Dunedin‌ ‌in‌ ‌

a‌ ‌mini‌ ‌bus‌ ‌driven‌ ‌by‌ ‌Mark‌ ‌Dickson‌ ‌from‌ ‌Awesome‌ ‌Tours.‌ ‌

On‌ ‌the‌ ‌Tuesday‌ ‌they‌ ‌were‌ ‌formally‌ ‌welcomed‌ ‌by‌ ‌Matua‌ ‌Tip‌ ‌Winiata‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌Whare‌ ‌after‌ ‌

which‌ ‌they‌ ‌met‌ ‌our‌ ‌Sports‌ ‌Co ordinater,‌ ‌Frankie‌ ‌Vella‌ ‌and‌ ‌our‌ ‌HOD‌ ‌of‌ ‌music,‌ ‌John‌ ‌

Dodd.‌ ‌We‌ ‌hope‌ ‌they‌ ‌enjoy‌ ‌their‌ ‌time‌ ‌at‌ ‌Logan‌ ‌Park‌ ‌High‌ ‌School,‌ ‌make‌ ‌many‌ ‌new‌ ‌

friends‌ ‌and‌ ‌create‌ ‌fond‌ ‌memories‌ ‌to‌ ‌take‌ ‌back‌ ‌home‌ ‌with‌ ‌them.‌ ‌
