March Sports Round up

We've had record numbers of students signing up for sport.

Summer sports are well underway with students enjoying everything from athletics, cricket, futsal, handball, tennis, touch through to surfing and volleyball.

Parents can help with transporting students to and from venues as well as supervising and managing teams.

Some recent highlights include:

Daniel Cowles - Otago U18 Softball team

Regan Thomson - Otago U15 Softball team

Phoebe Guile-Hughes - Otago U16 Tennis. Phoebe recently played in the Southern Junior Teams event winning most of her games.

Sam Hulbe Pulver - Disk Golf. Sam is ranked the top Junior in New Zealand  after winning the NZ Disk Golf Championships late last year.

Nirvana Hepi-Breen and Zack Hibbert have had some fantastic achievements in Athletics this season. Nirvana competed in the South Island Colgate Games in Nelson recently in the Girls Grade 10. She won Gold in the Shot Put and Gold in Discus with impressive throws.

Zack Hibbert competed in the Otago Senior Athletics in February, where he won the Men's U16 hammer, throwing a personal best of 39.90m.

We are looking forward to competing in the Otago Champs in March.
