During week 6 of term 3, a group of 34 students from Year 9 - 13 sat the ICAS Maths competition.
Students answered a variety of questions on topics such as algebra, measurement, geometry, chance and data, which increased in complexity throughout the paper. ICAS assessments encourage students to use higher-order thinking skills to solve problems.
Every student who enters the ICAS receives a certificate acknowledging their achievement:
High Distinction - the top 1% of participants
Distinctions - the next 10% of participants
Credit - the next 25% of participants
Merit - the next 10% of participants
Participation - for all remaining participants
