Logan Park had six teams competing in the Dunedin Schools Debating after-school competitions this year; three in the Junior round and three in the Senior.

Debating via Zoom had its frustrations, but we're really thankful for the opportunity to debate at all, and this was the only way to do it under the Red traffic light setting.

To begin the Senior teams participated in a training round, a practice debate and one competitive debate. The Juniors got started in February, with a marathon session lasting from 4pm to 7pm on a Wednesday night, getting some practice and trying out their debating skills. Each team was in a different room, gathered around a different computer, which made for its own complications once the pizza arrived!
