We all found ourselves back in Lockdown Level 4 on August 18 2021.
Google Classroom and Google Meets and emails replaced our face to face classrooms.
The South Island moves down to Alert Level 3 - from midnight Tuesday 31 August.
Most of us will continue to learn from home.
We will be operating a limited on-site school bubble from Wednesday 1 September. Please email email@example.com if your young person needs to attend school from Wednesday 1 September as we will need to organise appropriate bubbles and supervision.
Under Alert Level 3 we continue with online teaching/learning for everyone (even those on site in our supervised school bubble will be learning online with their normal subject teachers).
If students need to collect necessary school gear/resources from school please email firstname.lastname@example.org to organise collection.
In light of the disruption to schooling you may also have heard that:
NZQA have delayed NCEA external exams by 2 weeks - Now starting November 22nd and finishing December 14th
Extended deadlines are in place for portfolios (Art/Technology)
ICAS assessments are being rescheduled
This decision has led to the following changes for Logan Park High School:
We will delay our senior school exams to Week 10 of this term.
Senior Parent Teacher Student Interviews will now be held Term 4, Week 1. (We may need to review these decisions depending on the Alert Level).
Senior Term 3 reports will still go out at the end of Term 3.
We will be extending our Term 4 for seniors by 2 weeks to allow time to complete internal assessments and to revise for external exams.
Weekly Feedback for Year 9-11 will operate this coming week.
We are all unique in the ways we respond to changes and challenges that are out of our control. Please remember to prioritise your mental and physical health and wellbeing. Reach out, talk, stay connected, make time for exercise, unplug and spend time outdoors.
We are confident we can help all our students to catch up and re-engage with their learning through this challenging period. Thanks for your continued support and encouragement.
