Library Week

The final week of Term One was Library Week. Every lunchtime the library hummed with many students and staff taking part in activities, competitions and craft.

Spine poetry, book-in-a-jar, matching the teacher with their book... all events were well attended and enjoyed but perhaps the highlight of the week was the lit. quiz. There were six student teams and a staff team all competing for the first annual LPHS lit. quiz title. Congratulations to 'The Agatha Quizties' : Kaitaia, Charis, Isabel and Ella.

There was a book sale which ran the week long, selling discarded library books and other well loved but no longer required library items. This sale was raising money for postage to send some of our older school journals over to Fiji to be distributed among schools in need of reading material. We raised just over $80 and are very grateful for all those students and staff who purchased books and helped run the sale. We're already looking forward to Library Week next year!
