At the end of Term One we farewelled students from Germany, Denmark, Vietnam and Thailand.
Hailey Nguyen from Vietnam is moving to Auckland and will train to be a chef. Alma Sapru returns to school in Denmark and Luise Voss returns to school in Germany. All three young women have made firm friendships during their time with us and we look forward to seeing them again in the future.
Matua Tip Winiata who has been teaching all three students carved special individual carvings for the students. Each carving is unique and significant for the student.
We also had 4 young students from Thailand visiting for a month. Rajchakrit, Parita, Phantila and Mahasmuth joined Year 9 and 10 classes and enjoyed their experience in a New Zealand high school. We would love to welcome them back as longer term senior students in the future. Thanks to their Kiwi buddies and classmates for making them so welcome.
