This year’s sports day was a big hit, coming from a year 13 sports prefect.

I personally had a great time, the energy was amazing and there was lots of participation across the events and age groups! The weather was amazing and with a sausage sizzle, music going and colourful dressing up, there was a lot of enthusiasm. I like our sports day because every person can do what they’d like to do, there are no compulsory events and I’d say having the choice of what you want to do makes everyone enjoy the day a lot more. To round the day off we had numerous exciting relays and of course the annual teacher race is always a highlight! The final point tally up was as usual a cause of great excitement with Aoraki reclaiming the win.
