On the last weekend of Term 3 five staff and 43 excited students headed north to Queenstown for two action-packed days in the mountains.
The group stayed at the Lakeland Christian Camp, a fantastic base with plenty of cabins and a large common room perfect for pool, karaoke, and unwinding after big days on the slopes.
On Saturday, with the Remarkables closed, the group made their way to Coronet Peak—and what a day it was! Fresh snow had fallen overnight and light flurries continued throughout the day, creating some of the best conditions many had ever seen at Coronet. To top it off, a DJ dance party added to the fun, with students (and even Ms Norris) taking a boogie break between chairlift runs. The evening finished with dinner in Queenstown before everyone bunked down in hopes of more snow.
On Sunday, the Remarkables reopened, and although the drive up was windy, the reward was worth it—perfect snow, beautifully groomed runs, and smiles all around. Mr Kain declared he had the best run he’s had in years!
A huge thank you goes out to Ms Caulfield, Mr Kain, Ms Norris, and Mr Fraser for their time, energy, and van-driving skills that made the trip possible. The students were fantastic ambassadors for Logan Park, and the weekend was a brilliant mix of skiing, snowboarding, friendship, and fun.
