On Friday the 7th of March a dedicated group from our LPHS enviro group (which meets every Thursday in room 11 during lunchtime) went to a wonderful Enviro school hui at the St Kilda Surf Lifesaving club.
The activities of the day were based around the Turangawaewae of St. Kilda and ranged from learning about coastal erosion and marine reserves (via Virtual reality – sooo cool!) to following the journey of Mika, a local sea lion mum who made her and her pup’s home in St Kilda in December and January.
We also made contact with other enviro groups and will hopefully continue to work closely with Kaikorai Valley.
Come and join the group and contribute to a happy and sustainable environment at LPHS.
