Logan Park High School Winter Sports teams triumph at the annual Dunedin Co-Ed Winter Tournament and proudly take home the Co-ED Cup!
The school showcased exceptional talent across multiple codes. Our badminton, football, and hockey teams delivered outstanding performances, securing crucial wins that ultimately clinched the overall title.
A special mention must go to the basketball and netball teams, whose dedication and effort throughout the tournament were commendable. Although they didn’t take top honors in their respective grades, their contributions were vital to Logan Park’s overall success.
A particularly dominant display came from the Boys’ Football team, who remained undefeated with four impressive wins. Their skill and teamwork were a highlight of the tournament, leaving no doubt about their superiority on the pitch. Not to be outdone, the Girls’ football team also played outstandingly, securing three wins and one draw.
Our Badminton teams were also dominant. Although being equal on the grade A points table to Bayfield and Trinity, the LPHS A team took first place in the end on score differences. Our team achieved a total of 1097 points in both boys and girls doubles and mixed doubles. This total was over 250 points more than 2nd place. Our B team was even more comprehensive, comfortably finishing top of the table with 45 points (9 points above 2nd place Trinity).
The final standings saw Logan Park High School in first place with an impressive 36 points, closely followed by Trinity College with 35 points. Taieri College and Bayfield High School tied for third with 26 points each, and Kaikorai Valley College rounded out the results with 16 points.
Congratulations to all Logan Park students who participated, embodying the spirit of sportspersonship and teamwork. This victory is a testament to our hard work and dedication! Big thanks to our fantastic coaches for supporting our students to victory.
