Battle of the Pans

In July Year 12 Hospitality students participated in the Service IQ Battle of the Pans competition.

Micah McAnelly and Otto Dixon entered the Iced Cafe Cake section, while Hunter Burgess, Carter Williams, and Sophie Smart competed in the Iced Cupcake category. The final products were judged on presentation, display, taste, texture, and overall quality.

This competition provided students with valuable experience in a hospitality competition environment and facilitated connections with employers and industry professionals. Despite the nerve-racking judging process, the students received lots positive feedback and Sophie Smart was awarded a bronze medal for her Matariki-themed cupcakes.
