Logan Park High School is proud to celebrate the exceptional achievements of our students in the 2025 Scholarship examinations.
Scholarship is the highest level of academic recognition in NCEA, awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding subject knowledge, critical thinking, and the ability to apply their learning at an advanced level. These results reflect not only academic excellence, but also perseverance, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to learning.
This year, our students achieved Scholarships across a wide range of subjects including English, Biology, Physics, Media Studies, Music, Painting, Photography, History, Classics, and Psychology. Such breadth highlights the strength of teaching and learning across our curriculum, and the willingness of our students to challenge themselves in diverse areas of interest.
We are especially proud to acknowledge Sam McGee and Lucy Riepl, who were recognised as Outstanding Scholarship recipients. This distinction is awarded to the very top students in the country and represents an extraordinary level of achievement. Sam’s success in Photography and Lucy’s in History place them among New Zealand’s highest-performing students — a remarkable accomplishment that reflects talent, dedication, and sustained hard work.
We also congratulate all of our Scholarship recipients:

We would also like to make special mention of Savarna Yang, whose accomplishments extend even further. Because she gained three Scholarships in English, Media Studies, and History, Savarna will receive an NCEA Scholarship Award. This recognition places her among an elite group of students nationwide and acknowledges not only her academic excellence, but her sustained commitment, intellectual curiosity, and determination to perform at the very highest level. Savarna’s success is an outstanding achievement and one that reflects both her dedication and the strong support of her teachers and whānau.
These results are a testament to the partnership between students, teachers, and whānau. Scholarship success requires significant independent study alongside regular coursework, and we acknowledge the dedication of staff who support, extend, and inspire our learners throughout the year.
At Logan Park, we value excellence in all its forms. Our Scholarship students demonstrate what is possible when passion meets effort, and they serve as an inspiration for younger students beginning their own academic journeys.
Congratulations to all of our Scholarship recipients. We are incredibly proud of what you have achieved and look forward to seeing the pathways your talents will open.
